April Selstad joined First Mid Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor. In her role, she works directly with clients seeking information on investment services and brokerage services offered through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.
Before joining the First Mid team, April gained prior experience as a Financial Advisor for A.G. Edwards in Charleston. She earned Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. April also worked several years in Paralegal services. After studying accounting at Danville Area Community College, she earned a bachelors degree from Eastern Illinois University. April attended the School of Law at Southern Illinois University and continued her education at the College of Financial Planning.
April lives in Charleston and is the mother of three children, including twins. Outside of her professional career, she volunteers her time to organizations that focus on helping those with special needs. She has previously served as an advisory board member for the EIU Autism Center, as well as a board member for Camp New Hope and Central Illinois Autism Therapy Services.
