Eric Benne

Eric Benne is a Senior Vice President, Director of Trust with First Mid Wealth Management. He specializes in personal trust administration, charitable trusts, estate planning, estate administration, donor-advised gift funds, and investment portfolio administration for individuals and nonprofit organizations.

With more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and legal services, Eric brings extensive knowledge and a client-focused approach to his role. Prior to joining First Mid, he served for 10 years as a Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Officer. Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years in private practice as a partner in a Burlington, Iowa law firm, focusing on estate planning, estate administration, business law, real estate, and litigation.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, giving back to the community, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
