Keep Your Card Secure

  • Turn your card OFF/ON to help prevent unauthorized use
  • Set alerts based on transaction amount, transaction type, or merchant category
  • Set controls to block specific transaction types or merchant categories

  • View card details without your physical card

    Control Your Debit Card

    Get detailed instructions for the Card Management features.
    In Online Banking:
    • Hover over Card Management in the main menu, then click Debit Card Management.
     
    In Mobile Banking:
    • Tap on Cards at the bottom of the screen.
    • You can also navigate to the More menu at the bottom of the screen,  click on Card Management, then Debit Card Management.

    If your debit card is lost or stolen, you can use the card management features to turn it OFF in Online or Mobile Banking to help prevent unauthorized transactions. When your card is turned off, the status will show as Blocked.

    What happens when my card is blocked?
    •    New card transactions will be declined.
    •    Previously authorized or recurring payments may still process.
    •    Your card cannot be used through your digital wallet while it is blocked.

    Have multiple debit cards?
    Blocking one debit card only blocks that card. Other debit cards linked to your account will continue to work normally.

    Card alerts help you stay on top of your debit card activity, spot unauthorized transactions, and monitor your spending. You can receive alerts for all card transactions or customize alerts based on:

    • Transaction Limits – Receive alerts when a transaction or your monthly spending exceeds a limit you set.
    • Transaction Type – Get alerts for specific transaction types, such as in-store, ATM, or online purchases.
    • Merchant Type*– Receive alerts for purchases at specific merchant categories, such as gas stations, grocery stores, or restaurants.
    • Location – Get an alert when your card is used outside the U.S.

     Important: Card alerts notify you of activity but do not block transactions. To block certain transactions, use Card Controls.

    Card Controls let you block certain debit card transactions to help protect your account. You can block transactions based on:

    • Transaction Type – Block specific transaction types, such as in-store, ATM, or online purchases.
    • Merchant Type* – Block purchases from specific merchant categories, such as entertainment, grocery stores, or travel.

    Important: Blocking transactions does not send an alert. To receive notifications about card activity, set up Card Alerts.







    *Merchant Type categories are based on codes provided through the merchant’s payment processing system. A merchant’s code identifies its primary business activity but may not capture all services offered by that merchant.
