Meet Aaron

Aaron Cling is a Vice President, Agricultural Lender and Mediapolis Market Manager with First Mid Bank & Trust. He works closely with farmers and agricultural businesses to provide financing solutions that support their operations, growth, and long-term success.

A lifelong resident of the Mediapolis area, Aaron returned to his hometown after college and now works at the same bank where he opened his first checking account and received his first loan. He joined First Mid through the acquisition of Two Rivers Bank & Trust, where he built 10 years of experience serving farmers and agricultural businesses. Aaron understands the unique opportunities and challenges facing today’s farming operations and is committed to helping customers achieve their goals.

Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Studies from Iowa State University, a Master of Agribusiness from Kansas State University, and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Active in the community, Aaron currently serves as President of Mediapolis Community Housing and Treasurer of Iowa State Extension of Des Moines County, the Des Moines County Cattlemen’s Association, and the Kossuth Cemetery Association. He previously served as President of the Mediapolis Education Foundation.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys managing his own farm and spending time with his wife and their three active children.
