Ben Syfert

Ben Syfert is a Commercial and Ag Lender and also serves as the Douglas County President for First Mid. Traveling between the Tuscola and Arcola locations, he works with customers from Douglas, Coles, Edgar and Champaign Counties. Ben has more than 10 years of banking experience and enjoys helping businesses and agricultural customers of all sizes with their financial needs. He has expertise in working with Farm Service Agency and Guaranteed Loan Programs. He also currently serves on the IBA Ag Advisory Committee in Springfield.

 

Ben earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ag Business Economics with a Minor in Finance from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Ben is a licensed Crop Insurance Agent, a Member of the Tuscola Rotary, and the Shelby County Farm Bureau. He has also owned and operated his own farm for nearly 20 years.
