Meet Christian

Christian Deters is a Commercial Lender serving the Effingham, Altamont, and Neoga, IL communities, along with the surrounding areas. He works closely with business owners to identify the right financing solutions for both current needs and long-term success.

Christian joined First Mid in October 2024 as a Senior Credit Analyst and transitioned to commercial lending in July 2025. In his current role, he partners with local businesses to support growth, fund new projects, and achieve strategic goals. He serves as a dedicated liaison for clients, connecting them to the full range of services First Mid offers.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, Christian holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accounting. He was born and raised in Teutopolis, IL, where he now lives with his wife, Wittni.
