John West

John West is a Commercial Lender for the Decatur community, and also serves as the Decatur Regional Community President for First Mid Bank & Trust. He specializes in helping business customers with their commercial and ag lending needs. West has received numerous awards at First Mid, including Impact Lender of the Year and the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Excellence, the company’s highest honor.

John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agrifinance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He currently serves as a member of Decatur Rotary #180, Board President of the Good Samaritan Inn, and board member of the Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce.
