Meet Karyl

Karyl Bohnsack is a Commercial Lender for First Mid Bank & Trust, serving the Coralville, IA corridor. She works with businesses of all sizes to provide tailored financing and banking solutions that support growth and long-term success.

Karyl began her banking career with Two Rivers Bank & Trust, now First Mid Bank & Trust, in 2023. Prior to joining the bank, she spent more than 20 years in finance and served as Executive Officer of a local nonprofit organization for eight years. Her background in finance, leadership, and community development allows her to bring a relationship-focused approach to serving clients.

Active in the community, Karyl volunteers with several local organizations and committees focused on housing, economic development, and community improvement. She is also involved with her local church and has served in leadership roles with numerous civic and professional organizations throughout the Iowa City area.

Outside of work, Karyl enjoys reading, board games, traveling, and attending craft beer festivals with family and friends.
