
First Mid encourages all employees to develop to their fullest potential by providing internal mobility for professional development and opportunities. Employees should devote special attention to their career growth by frequent discussions with their manager regarding future goals for development and advancement.
After discussing their intention to apply for a position with the immediate manager, employees must:
- Meet minimum requirements for skills, experience, and education per the job posting.
- It is recommended an employee have tenure of 6 months or more of continuous service with First Mid prior to applying for an open position. This recommendation does not apply to employees that transfer from Part Time to Full Time positions.
- Must be in good performance and attendance standing with no open OPI’s.
- Apply for the position through the Job Postings link on UKG by completing the application and submitting a resume into the profile.
Recommendations for Employees considering transferring departments:
- Consider utilizing the job shadowing program
- Speak to employees currently in the position
- Meet with department manager about the skillsets/education they look for in an employee in that particular area.
