Card Fraud Protection

First Mid partners with Falcon Fraud to keep you safe! When suspected fraud occurs on your debit card, Falcon Fraud will contact you by phone to determine if the charges were truly fraudulent. They will never ask you for full account information or detailed personal information. When contacting you, a Falcon Fraud representative will identify themselves as First Mid Falcon Fraud. They will only ask you for partial information which may be used to verify your identity.

If Falcon Fraud cannot reach you, they will leave a message and request that you call them back toll free at 1-866-395-3393. If they are unable to reach you, for your protection, they could put a block on your card so that no fraudulent charges can be made.

Additional Card Protection

You may enroll your card in Visa’s Purchase Alerts program and receive real-time notifications when your card is used. You set the criteria for the type of transaction that triggers an alert – such as the amount spent or how the transaction is made (in person, online, over the phone).   It’s another way Visa is helping our cardholders identify potentially fraudulent activity.
