We’ve recently been alerted that fraudsters may be calling or texting customers and asking them to confirm a purchase by asking for their debit card information. The calls appear to come from 1-833-735-1894 and text messages appear to come from 833-735-1892 or from shortcode 37-268.
If you receive a call or text asking for your card number, PIN, or CVV code from the back of your card, please do not provide any information. First Mid will never call or text a customer and ask them to provide these details in order to confirm a purchase.
If you’ve received such a call or text and provided your card number, PIN, or CVV code from the back of your card, please contact First Mid Customer Support or your local branch.
