• Wash all windows
• Clean blinds and window treatments
• Clean walls
• Spot-clean upholstered furniture
• Wipe down kitchen cabinets
• Dust the refrigerator
• Clean carpets
• Declutter and organize the closets
• Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Sweep the chimneys
• Declutter and clean out the attic
Outside your house:
• Repair or replace weather stripping and caulking around windows and doors
• Check and clean the gutters
• Clean patio furniture then store away
• Drain and store garden hoses
• Check and touch up exterior paint
