First Mid Bank & Trust Google Deletion Policy
Below you will find detailed steps on how to proceed with requests to delete your online account and information specific to the data being removed and retained during this process. This data is temporarily retained for fraud prevention and in accordance with laws and regulations governing bank data retention periods.
How to Delete your First Mid Bank & Trust Digital Banking Account
To delete your online banking account with First Mid Bank & Trust and your First Mid Mobile app, please contact us at 1-877-888-5629.
For your convenience, you can also log into your online or mobile banking with your username and password and send us a secure message to request we delete your online account.
- To send us a secure message in online banking via a desktop computer, click the envelope icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- To send us a secure message via the mobile app, follow these steps:
- Click on More at the bottom of the screen
- Choose Tools
- Select Message Center
- Click Compose.
- Use the dropdown to Select a Subject and choose “Online Banking Deletion Request.”
- Type your message into the message field.
- Click the blue Send button when you are finished.
Your online banking profile, username, and password will be deleted upon request.
Digital Banking Data Deletion
When you request the deletion of your digital banking account the following will happen:
App Data:
- Your digital banking profile will be deleted; your username will no longer be associated with your financial accounts, personal data, or app settings.
- Your digital banking profile will be deleted; you will not be able to access digital banking in the mobile app or via online banking. If your account remains open and you wish to access digital banking again in the future, you must re-enroll in digital banking. Configured alert preferences will be deleted.
- Scheduled one time and recurring bill payments will be cancelled.
- Scheduled one time and recurring transfers will be cancelled.
- Accounts enrolled in electronic statements will be returned to paper delivery, which may result in a fee.
Personal Information:
- Your personal identifiable information such as your name, email address, and phone number will be temporarily retained in our internal system for fraud prevention and to comply with data retention and audit requirements.
Transaction History:
- Records of transactions conducted within the app will be temporarily retained in our internal system for fraud prevention and to comply with data retention and audit requirements.
App Usage Data:
- Records of your activity and usage within the mobile application will be temporarily retained in our internal system for fraud prevention and to comply with data retention and audit requirements
