Wednesday, September 15
Today we depart for Huntington, WV. Check into the Holiday Inn for one night. Enjoy an independent dinner.

Thursday, September 16
This morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Charlottesville, VA. For lunch today, enjoy the taste of 18th-century southern fare at Michie Tavern. Followed by a tour of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. This afternoon we will depart for Washington DC and check into the Hyatt Place National Mall for four nights. Enjoy an independent dinner. (B, L)

Friday, September 17
After breakfast at the hotel you will go exploring with a local guide. On today’s outing you will drive by The White House, U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress & more. There will be a stop at the White House Visitor Center. An independent lunch stop at the Old Post Office, now known as Trump International Hotel. More sightseeing in the afternoon followed by dinner at Tony & Joe’s Seafood located on the Potomac River in the Georgetown’s Washington Harbour. This evening you will take a night time Memorial Illumination Light Tour. (B, D)

Saturday, September 18
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for a full day of sightseeing. Today’s guide will take you on a tour of the International Spy Museum, with a visit from a former spy. Enjoy an independent lunch at the National Mall. This afternoon you will have free time to visit any of the Smithsonian Museums of your choice. For dinner you will enjoy the family style Italian restaurant Carmine’s. Then this evening you will enjoy the interactive comedy whodunit, Shear Madness, at the Kennedy Center. (B, D)

Sunday, September 19
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then head out for the morning on a group tour of Arlington National Cemetery. Followed by admission to the new National Museum of the United States Army. Lunch will be provided at the museum. This afternoon explore Old Town Alexandria with plenty of restaurants and shopping options. This evening dinner will be provided in an elegant Colonial dining room at Gatsby’s Tavern. (B, L, D)

Monday, September 20
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. We will then depart for Stoystown, PA to visit the Flight 93 National Museum, followed by an independent lunch. Later, depart for Wheeling, WV and check into the Historic Oglebay Resort – Deluxe Wilson Lodge Rooms. Over 100 years ago, a tradition of generous hospitality began at the summer estate of Earl W. This morning after breakfast at the hotel and checking out we will depart for home with wonderful memories of historical Washington DC and much more. (B)
